One day soon, we will look to Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) to provide complete information related to a material’s impact on the environment. Impact categories in an LCA can include environmental measures for the following impact areas:

With continued efforts supporting manufacturer transparency and improvements to products and processes, our ability to address specific environmental health issues with deliberate product selections will improve. Environmental health will be a factor in our decision-making process, along with aesthetics, performance, cost, etc.
