We shape our environment. It’s human nature, it’s the nature of life, to shape one’s surroundings to advance diversification and ensure survival. When our activities result in unintended consequences which ultimately pose a threat to our own diversification and survival, it’s time to take stock.
Unintended consequences result from the production of building materials. Evaluating these consequences is not easy. Impacts are interconnected, multi-faceted and sometimes indirect. The scope of these impacts can be local, regional or global.
