The Buffalo News profiled the renovated Buffalo Sabres player locker room and associated team and player spaces this week in a photo album published to the newspaper’s website. The photos feature players donning gear in front of their lockers and experiencing the new space. Cannon Design handled architecture, engineering, construction management and telecom for the 15,000 sf project. Along with the Sabres’ locker room, Cannon Design helped renovate the players’ lounge, training and equipment rooms, coaches’ offices and workrooms, a teaching classroom, emergency medical space, media and visiting team spaces. The team will officially put the new space to use this Friday when they kick off their 2011-12 home season by playing host to the Carolina Hurricanes. The entire Buffalo News album can be viewed here.
